The artist and entrepreneur, Lior Halfon (Kalfo) will present, for the first time, a 48-hour art installation in Midtown Towers in Tel Aviv. The installation incorporates light, sound, video, and 30 large scale artworks and will be presented in a 1,500 m2 open space on the 34th floor. This massive installation combines light elements that brings to life a dimension of the artworks made of fluorescent colors and techniques which focus and enhance the metaphor in the exhibition space.

The installation is comprised of various artistic objects engaged in a dialog in the installation space as well as with the audience, and includes video, sound and lighting. The artworks will be presented in a dark setting with ultraviolet light that brings to life the dimension of the artworks made of unique fluorescent colors and techniques changing the artworks and enhancing words, lines and different shapes that appear and magically disappear..

The installation is an art event designed for “your child and the child within you”, and “like all my other stage creations,” says Lior, “it deals with space, time, and an interactive encounter that generates an emotional experience and touches a wide range of artistic media.”

Black Rainbow, is a series of artworks that deconstruct and reconstruct the delicate fabric that exists in the dialog between painting and sculpting, between simple and complex, while exploring, time and again, the narrative structure of the object.

“Lior is a skilled anatomist,” says Katy Barr, the exhibition’s curator. “He has become a creative expert on the anatomy of modern culture and art as it is reflected in his latest artworks. The installation is a medium in which Lior researches and deconstructs the essence, content, and shape and creates something new, very much like his stage works, the “Black Light Theater” and the “Voca People” which created a new stage language. Lior’s stage works brings his ensemble of work in its entirety, to the canvas and to the visual space where the audience is an integral part of the creation, very much like in his stage creations. He is both a man of the stage and a man of the canvas – a man of abstract contradictions. His multi-disciplinary nature enriches his artworks with magical, contradictory and innovative worlds”. “In this project,” Barr adds, “Lior is upgrading all the familiar worlds into the worlds of visual art in the public space”.
