Lior’s artworks deconstruct and reconstruct the delicate fabric that exists in the dialog between painting and sculpting, between simple and complex. He explores the typographic and biographic structure of a metaphor and like a skilled anatomist, deconstructs it to its parts. Lior has become expert on the anatomy of modern culture and art as it is reflected in his wide-ranging stage productions such as the “Black Light Theater” and the “Voca People”. Lior’s artworks create a new language that brings his ensemble of stage work in its entirety, via the canvas, the colors, the uni-and-three dimensional directly into a visual space, a tangible representation, an installation, and an interactive exhibition with the audience.

Lior’s artworks belong to the “Naïve Art”, a genre of Plastic Arts, which mostly includes paintings and sculpting with various materials. Naïve Art is often characterized by seemingly childlike simplicity, lack of proportions, drawings brimming with details and figures and artworks depicting mundane activities. The Naïve Art frequently depicts idyllic daily life scenes, and characteristically glorifies innocence. Moreover, it uses lively bright colors that correspond with a child’s perspective. The paintings are easy to understand and to interpret and simplicity is one of its hallmarks. Many naïve artists express in their paintings their heart wish and vision of a perfect world.  This vision is manifested in the high colorfulness and in an optimistic and positive worldview.
